New Orleans airport to convention area hotel?

Hello.  Flying into New Orleans for the first time.  Hotel, near the convention center, tells me there are no hotel shuttles anymore.  What is the best (and safest?) way to get to our hotel from the airport.  thank you!

Choice is between Uber/Lyft and cab. I would go with Uber.

arrived in NOLA in March 2024. Aside from standing in a long line at the CAB booth, there is a city rate restriction of $18 one way from the airport to Downtown NOLA Hotels. As you exit the airport, veer off to the left side and find the CAB booth and get in line.

You might check with Uber/Lyft for the going rate.

The cab line goes quick. They need a permit to get in line. The flat rate is easy to absorb.

Be careful in the city. The mall and waterfront are a safe walk.
