Anyone use Alexa in YC?

I realize this is a strange question, but we were thinking about bringing our Echo Show to use as one of our devices.  We booked an interior YC on Meraviglia and thought it could work as a night light among other things.

Won't work, or should I say Alexa echo did not.

Neither will roku or fire sticks. 

 Now this was based on the person in YC who was setting up our devices.

 If you can figure it out please post it.
