Celebrity food vs Royal Caribbean

We have only cruised once since the pandemic.  It was an Infinity cruise to Antarctica this past January.  I did not notice any problem with the offerings in the MDR.  We usually are RCI cruisers and have read that after the pandemic they have rolled out a pared down MDR menu and folks have expressed that the food quality has indeed gone downhill.

 

My question is if anyone has noticed a decline in MDR offerings on Celebrity?

Yes we’ve experienced a decline.

Yes.  I’ve noticed a difference in what is being offered, but most of the offerings are still pretty good.  I would give the edge to celebrity due to the ocean view cafe being better.  I think the MDR offerings on royal and celebrity are pretty similar.

We usually sail Celebrity decided to do Wonder of the Seas recently.   Even with the cutback on Celebrity we think the food is much better.  Won't be going back on Royal,  just wasn't worth it.

I sailed on the Celebrity Millenium in June and I thought the MDR quality was better than my cruise on the Celebrity Solstice last year. I thought the Ocean View Cafe (buffet) quality was worse though. 

 

I've only sailed on Royal Caribbean once and that was several years ago but I don't remember a drastic difference between Royal and Celebrity MDR quality.

We book suites on both lines , on my last beyond cruise I definitely thought quality of food and specialty restaurants and suite restaurant have gone down in quality.
