Casino on an Alaskan cruise

Just a quick question.  What are the hours that the casino is open on an Alaskan cruise?   I noticed that the ship is not that far off the coast and wondered if there are any restrictions (other than when in port) when doing an Alaskan cruise.  Mostly asking for my wife.

Out of Vancouver we mostly found the casino opened right after the ship left the dock.  It would close before docking at the various ports and open again when the ship departed.  In other words she won't be gambling during shore times  have fun

Even though at times the ship sails close to the coast I have never found the hours to be an issue.  Once the ship sails the casino opens soon thereafter.  They must have some agreements different than the standard ones of how many miles they need to be offshore.
