Car Rental in Antigua

We are thinking of renting a car for the day to explore Antigua by ourselves instead of taking a tour.  

Has anyone else done this?  Where did you rent from?

Best to rent from a main brand where one lives with a representation in the destination island.

Then any “island” problems either there, or post, can be resolved direct and locally.

That's what I intend to do.. At least if it's a name brand, I'll have more options to resolve any problems that may come up...

We’ve rented on many islands with ‘local’ companies.  No issue. You always have your credit card protection if it’s bad enough.
