Mayflower Park Hotel feedback?

Hi,

We (my husband, my mom and myself ) are booked to stay at the Mayflower before our Alaska cruise. Just wondering for those who have stayed here, what was your experience? It also seems to be near some key sights like Pike Place Mkt etc and shopping/restaurants. Would like to hear your feedback. Thanks.

While I haven't personally stayed at the Mayflower, I can recommend the location, as well as its restaurant and lounge -  Andaluca's  and Oliver's.  We were staying at the Westin, but basically ate two breakfasts at Andaluca's, and met a friend at Oliver's for Happy Hour.

I do know folks who have stayed at the Mayflower (including one who for years has stayed one weekend in December to take in all the fun Christmas/Holiday events in Seattle).

Ditto what Ferry Watcher says.  The hotel is one of the Grand Ladies if seattle and Andaluca and Olivers are both exceptional.  Reservations needed for the restaurant, book ahead

We have stayed at the Mayflower several times.  Their "classic" rooms, while lovely, are rather small.  We book their corner suites.

We have stayed at the Mayflower many times. We used to ride the train from Portland and stay here when my husband was here for business meetings. We stayed here for cruises too. Wonderful hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. For just a few nights we found the classic rooms worked ok for us. There is a nice area in the upper lobby that is good for relaxing and reading.   We really like it here.  Pacific Place Shopping Center is nearby walking distance which has some nice restaurants.
