We are going on the Eastern Adventure 1 cruise flying into Sri Lanka if anyone else is doing this particular cruise am I right in thinking all we need is a transitional visa for Sri Lanka? We board the ship one day, there are excursions the next day and then we are at sea so would a 48 hour transitional visa do?

don’t really want to buy a visa if there’s no need, advice appreciated 🙂

We are on the earlier cruise so two days in Sri Lanka so will be getting a tourist visa as far as I can see transit doesn’t cover us. It only appears to cover those by air but there looks like the option of visa on arrival so at least if they won’t accept your transit that is available
