Doing a solo 12 day from the Dominican on NCL next March. Curious which ports are definite "get off the boat" and which ones might be better enjoyed poolside on the ship for a day of rest.

My general plan will be to hop off, spend 4-5 hours, when we have it, exploring on my own. Likely finding a museum/historic site close by for a few hours, some local food (street food/market stalls especially), wandering around and back to the ship. Not really interested in packaged shore excursions. I am spending time in the DR before and after, likely doing my dive cert there and at least one dive trip.

Our ports are: Willemsted, Curacao  (2PM-8PM); Oranjestad, Aruba (6AM-1PM); St Georges, Grenada (3PM-8PM). Rest are (8AM-5PM): Scarborough, Trinidad and Tobago; Bridgetown, Barbados; Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines; Castires St Lucia; St Johns, Antigua; Bassterre, St Kitts; Philipsburg, St Maarten. And 7AM-3PM Tortola, BVI.  (The 3 bolded fall on the Friday-Sunday Easter weekend, if that affects anything in port.
