My advice is to CALL BCC. We used the automated email which asks for first, second, and third choices of comped sailings and we never received an email or call back, even after submitting it a second time through the self serve email request form. The hold for a live person was only 15 minutes. this way you're assured whether your first choice date is available or not. Last year the self service email request form worked alot more smoothly.

I do call them, I am trying to understand how they got the 2nd room 50% off and what category it was.

Sorry, I just asked to book a 2nd room, it was booked at a casino rate -- the 2nd room is a Veranda, cruise only the rate was cheaper than the best published rate and promotion by a healthy margin, sorry nothing more than that...

but what rate did they give you?  It seems the standard rate now is Net20.

Net20 + BOGO + OBC for the 2nd room -- I just asked,  we needed two rooms since our kids (DS13, DD11) cruise with us and we don't like to bunk 4 in a room.

Yes that is the same rate they seem to be offering.  It used to be Net60 even for the 2nd room.  I also wish they would allow non refundable bookings.

Tried to move a Blue Chip Cruise in November that I earned based on past play. I was again notified no changes are no longer permitted but I have the option to cancel and get me $331 back for taxes and fees.

I was also noticed my Sapphire status on Blue Chip will reset January 01/2024. The last agent I spoke with early August told me I would have Sapphire status until the end of March 2024.

I will not longer visit the Casio for my last 4 comped cruises based on these changes and cutbacks.

I am curious to hear how your experience is dealing with Blue Chip Club recently?

Did you make Sapphire status for next year with the cruises from last year and this year?

Yes correct. I recently hit Sapphire from my cruise in March 2023 on the Beyond. I was surprised to hear I will loose status Jan 01/24….

That is not correct. Your POINTS reset to ZERO, but you retain your level until March 2025.

Thank you, yes I was told the same thing in March. On the phone with Celebrity now and they confirmed status ends Dec 31/23 and points reset at that time as well.

Maybe have your husband call and confirm this?

That doesn't make any sense. What kind of Players club program is that then? That goes again all the documentation. Especially for a cruise company casino program, where people generally sail once or twice a year, so now they are saying your player status is only good for the current year? So then ALL BCC members rest back to PEARL is what they are implying? I say BS on that.

I agree. I am on hold, will record the conversation and keep you posted.

Had this escalated. Points reset January 01/2024. Status will remain until until June 2025.
Thank you for your help here kwokpot.

Have had so much conflicting information through Blue Chip. It really depends who you talk to.

BCC is a mess again.  They just recently as of last Monday made other changes.  I was told we will no longer get Net20 off a 2nd cabin.  They will give a discount to the 2nd cabin somehow based on last play.  So I had the person reprice 2 cruises I just booked a few weeks ago and the first one was only slightly more but then the 2nd he said would be over $1000 more.  Neither cabins base price has changed since I booked.  The first person I talked to said no 2nd cabin discounts at all.

Yes transitioning to Casino Royal, all offers will only be made online in the near future.

I'm not sure what you mean, I booked my first-ever comped RCI sailing by calling them; I already had an RCI account but the offer was part of an MGM Rewards promotion

Yes correct I always call after each cruise so they can provide offers based on my recent play.

In the near future all offers will only be send via email similar to the RCI Casino Royal Program.

The Blue Chip program is being transformed to mirror the Casino Royal Program.

Here is an update regarding BCC status. I sent a email to Blue Chip Club and finally received a response.

Dear Mr. Newhouse:

Thank you for reaching us at The Blue Chip Club. May I inform you that December 31, 2023 will be the last day to earn points for the current earning period. Whatever tier status you finish at this date, you will keep and maintain for 2024. But, very importantly, next year 2024 you will need to earn the same amount of points you finish with at the end of this year so you can maintain tier status for the year 2025.

In example:
You currently have 114,284 points and currently Sapphire. Next year you will remain as Sapphire, but next year 2024 you will need to earn 114,284 or more points so you wont drop tier level in 2025.

If you need more assistance please feel free to contact us at (866) 461-7170.

Sincerely,

Evani Prado

Hello,
When I called Blue Chip on August 09th I spoke to Jan who was very helpful. She indicated to me I would have my Saphire Status until the end of March 2024. I just called Blue Chip Regarding another issue and the notified me my status will expire December 31st of 2023. I would appreciate a response why I am receiving conflicting information.

Best Regards,

Dear Mr. Newhouse:act us at (866) 461-7170

Thanks for sharing.  This sentence seems incorrect:

"You currently have 114,284 points and currently Sapphire. Next year you will remain as Sapphire, but next year 2024 you will need to earn 114,284 or more points so you wont drop tier level in 2025."

100K (not 114K) TC's should be enough

It sounds like the person who responded doesn't have a clue to how the tiers work.  Unless they are also changing those but I find it hard to believe it would ever be based on what each individual previously earned.

Yes correct, excellent point. 100,000 points gets you to Sapphire.
Thank You
