Rare OneSixtyToOne Posted August 14, 2023 #2 Share Posted August 14, 2023 (edited) This blog about cabins to avoid lists 3001 as one. YMMV https://viking-cruises-cabin-guide.blogspot.com/p/cabins-to-avioid.html Edited August 14, 2023 by OneSixtyToOne
Rare CDNPolar Posted August 14, 2023 #3 Share Posted August 14, 2023 We have not stayed in 3001 but we have stayed very close. Things to think about. On rough seas you will not only feel it more the more forward you are (IMO) but if the seas are really rough you will hear the bow slamming down as well. You will hear rehearsals and the shows from the Star Theatre as well. Because we have experienced a forward cabin a couple of times in the past on Deck 3, we now only stay mid-ship or towards the aft. We actually asked to be moved in rough seas from a very forward cabin on one of our last cruises because it was so bad. I don't understand why Viking put the suites where they do.
KBs mum Posted August 14, 2023 #4 Share Posted August 14, 2023 The deck 5 ES are OK as long as you don't mind the movement of the ship or anchor chain noises. We quite like them, but would hate the deck 3 theatre noise. Not sure what noise from the theatre gets through to deck
