Irishwhiskey Posted August 16, 2023 #1 Share Posted August 16, 2023 We are interested in going to this beach but because of the distance from Kings Wharf we not sure if its worth the cost or time it may take us to arrive there. We will be in bermuda for two nights and a day so getting back to the ship isn't an issue. The cruise excursion is way too costly its just under $500 for the two of us.Has anyone traveled to this beach and if so what option of transportation did you use? Thanks John

Thanks John I have been there. I took a taxi from St. George's. Cost about $20. You can take the Orange Line ferry from the Dockyard or if you are on NCl their ferry then take a taxi from St. George. There is a bus from St. George but it only runs once an hour. I don't recommentd the bus. Just don't do it the last day as finding a taxi back from Clearwater to St. George's may take some time to get.
Irishwhiskey Posted August 18, 2023 Author #3 Share Posted August 18, 2023 Thanks it appears that we would need to take at least 3 forms of transportation to get there and back.It looks as if it would take a long time to get there.I will need to check out what other transportation options would cost for four people. You don't need 3 forms of transportation. A ferry and a taxi is 2 forms.. $5 for the ferry and $20 for the taxi. The ferry ride is 45 minutes to St, George's and a taxi takes about $20 from St. George's. Or you could ferry to Hamilton and then take a taxi. That will cost more. Using only 1 form of transportation would be a taxi from the Dockyard to Clearwater. That would cost about $75. You don’t need to do a cruise line excursion for chairs and lunch. They rent chairs and umbrellas. They sell food. $5 for a ferry and $20 overall for a taxi each way. Your cost is going to be a lot less than $500 going there on your own. We spent under $100 overall for transportation, chair rental. We didn’t buy food but beach type food, hot dogs and hamburgers, fries is available at typical beach prices.
