Celebrity casino comps

Haven’t cruised since COVID, but just booked a cruise thru the casino. After hunting around , I realized the rate they gave me with the casino discount was not very competitive. I found lower rates with a cruise travel agent.

 

After holding on the phone, I discussed it, celebrity casino will do nothing, and the rep. Told me if I didn’t book thru casino I wouldn’t get as many perks while playing. 
I am not sure I believe that statement…

What the casino rep said is incorrect. Celebrity now has free drinks for EVERYONE while actively playing in the casino on all their ships. Standard, well brand drinks and you DO need to be playing (Of course if you're a regular in the casino and tip nicely the servers will know you and take care of you if you take care of them) to get comped drinks. TBH there really isn't any other benefit that comes from a BCC booking; all other benefits comes from your BCC tier status, which for you if you haven't been on a Celebrity cruise since prior to the pandemic should have expired. If for some reason you still have a higher BCC tier that has added benefits those would still apply for any cruise booking whether you booked through BCC or with an outside TA.

I was thinking more about getting credits for

future cruises , based on level of play .

she lead me to believe that I would get more if I booked thru the blue chip club  

Not sure that they could even control

That makes no sense. Your play is tracked via your room card for slots and account & Pit Boss observations for table games. Neither cares if your cruise booking was from BCC or through other channels.
