oz61 Posted August 25, 2023 #1 Share Posted August 25, 2023 Hi all Has anyone done this tour with NCL recently? Just wondering how much time is spent at the Space Station and what time you leave to go to the airport, and what time do you arrive at the airport? In a really old review, it mentioned the cruise excursion gets fast tracked through the displays, so wondering if this is still the case? We don't want to short change our experience too much. We will not have a car and do not want to drive there so the cruise excursion may fit nicely if the times are right.

I would not worry about fast track, I'd actually encourage it. It is a very large place and way too much to see. Highlights are rocket garden, shuttle experience, mission takeoff, space station, and iMax.

We will not have a car and do not want to drive there so the cruise excursion may fit nicely if the times are right. We did this post cruise tour in November 2022. There was a significant delay in disembarking the ship (which was obviously out of our control), and this led to decreased time at Kennedy Space Center. There were two buses. After receiving our entry tickets on the NCL bus, we bee-lined it to the bus that takes you on the Space Center tour as the lines can be long. In total they gave us only three hours there as we needed to leave at 1:00pm to make it to the airport by 1:45pm. Due to the limited time, you will feel rushed. However, as the bus arrived around 9:30am, we were able to see what we wanted to see in the time given. (The shuttle simulator was a no go for us due to the long wait times.) There was plenty of time for us to get the feel for the place and even browse the gift shop prior to leaving. We found KSC exciting and plan to return on our own so we have more time to explore. As our flight home left at 5:30pm, this tour was ideal so that we didn't have to wait all day in the airport! You will not be disappointed.
oz61 Posted August 25, 2023 Author #4 Share Posted August 25, 2023 The current description says “for flights after 6 pm”. I don’t think we would want to arrive at the airport at 1:45 pm. Was it the same for “flights after” time when you went? The shuttle simulator is supposed to be a highlight, so I wouldn’t want to miss it.
