Ravello or Pompei tour on the Almalfi port .

Have a day in Almafi,  and have never been to this part of Italy, nor have seen Pompei. Is it worth the 3 hour drive back and forth  or should we just hang on the coast and maybe tour Ravello ,   Thanks

I have been to both but I would say that it is definitely worth the drive to Pompeii. I usually avoid long bus excursions.  My husband and I have both been before separately but we will go to Pompeii again when we are in amalfi next summer.

If you do get to Pompeii, I would definitely recommend hiring one of the guides (assuming they still have them).  We did and she was able to really bring the place alive.  It was a great tour.

Absolutely Pompeii. Ravello has lovely views and shopping opportunities. Pompeii is something you will remember always.

Second or third the motion for Pompeii - like others here, we aren’t usually big on longer bus tours, but this one is well worth it, with more to see since we were several years ago.
