Day trips from Santiago Chile

Hi!  We're doing the Antarctica cruise in February and flying into Santiago a couple days early.  We'd like to do a day trip to the Andes, maybe Canjon del Maipo? Any recommendations on how to do this?

Have you tried Googling something along the likes of "Canjon del Maipo tours from Santiago"

 

The reason for asking is that possibly not to many cruise pax spend time touring outside of Santiago,  so googling tours would be an option should you get few replies here.

 

I think most transfer to Valparaiso or a resort town like Vina del  Mar where they have a few options for sightseeing including touring vineyards etc.

Four of us will be in Santiago in November (not part of a cruise) but I was looking for day trips from the city as we won't be renting a car.  Tripadvisor.com comments about Mauricio Escobar Fernandez as a tour guide/driver have been very positive.  We have corresponded with him and were very impressed so booked a day tour.

we used puertosanantoniotours.com and have nothing but great things to say.  Friendly staff, easy to book, comfortable van. We did a ship to hotel transfer with them ending in Santiago, that featured a finery, lunch and Valparaiso stops. Lovely.

We used Andes Wind for a day trip into the Andes from Santiago. Highly recommend.

We are booked to hike the Juncal Andean Park trail one pre-cruise day with Coigue Expeditions. They have less involved tours too to Cajon del Maipo if you're looking for something "lighter". We also are booked through PuertoSanAntonio tours for our transfer to San Antonio that includes Valpraiso and a winery stop.
