Quick insurance question

Booking a cruise today.  We will purchase Club Orange and HIA.  We will be buying our travel insurance independently using Insuremytrip.  Do we cover the extra cost of CO and HIA or just the cruise stateroom portion?  Should we have to cancel for a covered reason, I believe that HAL would refund the CO cost.  What about HIA?

For last winter's cruise, I had HAL's insurance. When I added HIA, it bumped up the insurance, which makes me think it isn't refundable and should be insured.

Looking at travel insurance rates.  Wow have they ever gone up!!!
