Brooklyn disabled drop off

When we go out of Brooklyn,our kids will drop us off.we are seniors who walk with canes,so I was curious as if there is a special drop off place,so we can be closer to building,and is that after luggage drop off.

Saw videos of lines outside and a long walk from people being dropped off. 

This could be a deal breaker for going out of Brooklyn

Should ask the driver to drop you off as close to the entrance due to your limitation and explain to the Pier Staff on the street why you need that close.....All embarkation days are challenging at the entrance of the terminal area.
