Help needed with best beach off cruise

We have been to Barbados 2 times and both times we only took water excursions, swam with the turtles and snorkeled.  We are a couple in our early 60's that love the beach (calm), drinks and relaxation. Not looking for any activities this time around. From what I have read, Carlisle beach ranks up there but seems to get extremely crowded. Looking for the next best beach yet near the port.  So many choices with not so much time. What beach and why.

Thank you so much!

Every beach that’s walkable, or has a $5/10 cab ride radius will be deemed extremely popular.

So, to avoid “popular” a $20/30 fare is required.  Select from the start point of say North of Sandy Lane
