EU VAT Refund

Hello

 

I will be taking a cruise from Venice to Athens which stops in Montenegro (non-EU). Athens will be where I fly out from the EU. 

 

For the shopping (leather goods) in Venice, where do I claim the VAT? In Venice (not sure if there is a facility at the port) or Athens airport?

I think there may be a place in Venice, but as you might be making purchases in other ports after Venice, I would do it in Athens, in the airport.  We did it in the airport in Barcelona.  EM
