I'm not finding any way to request wheelchair assistance getting through long

check-in lines and up the gangway.  Is that not something available on Princess?

When my father was alive we always had to request it when we got to the port. Sometimes it was outside but other times it was inside.

There is a link for mobility assistance under “Check-in” in the cruise personalizer on the website. It includes a phone number and email

In addition to the info provided already, you can also tell them at the port, they will bring a wheelchair around to you. Also, there is a Gray Lane, in which you will check in, and you can request a wheelchair there, if you didn’t get one sooner.  
 

I’ve seen many guests request one once they arrive at the port.

My hubby needs wheelchair assistance getting on and off the ship; he can't stand for more than a few minutes and the gangway is too much.  In both San Francisco and San Pedro we asked for a wheelchair as soon as we got out of the taxi.  No problem.  The port has wheelchair pushers to get you through security and check in and a Princess employee takes you the rest of the way onto the ship.  A tip is always appreciated and we do so generously as my hubby is a big guy.
