Gunbae for a non drinker

My wife and I have a reservation for Gunbae when we cruise next week.

However neither of us drink and I’ve heard that drinking is a large part of the experience.

Are we going to look and feel out of place here?

It's not a large part of the experience, just the drinking game at the beginning. Ask for shots of water instead of sojou.  Fortunately the game is a pretty quick one. 🙂

There are vegetarian selections at every restaurant onboard. With the at table cooking, they will cook all the non-fish and non-meat items first.

Virgin were amazing for my vegan girlfriend. Every single place had lots of vegan options. They also subbed out a few things, for example, replacing cheese with a vegan cheese.

 

Like Walter said, at Gunbae they cook the veg on the grill first. They also suggested extra starters to balance it out :)

THey will happily pour water into your glass for the drinking game.....and the game is a very small part of the experience.

Definitely not a large part. My husband is not a drinker and we always eat at Gunbae on Virgin (we have done 6 cruises with Virgin). One short game with a shot which they will happily switch for water. My vegetarian friend loved Gunbae! I think you will enjoy it.
