Casino Offer Question - HIA Pricing

I am under the impression that HIA is $50 per person per day.  Is it different if you book a casino rate?

 

DH received a casino offer this week and I would like clarification on the HIA pricing.  Below is a spreadsheet showing the pricing with the casino offer and regular prices.  As you can see, neither comes out to $50 pp/pd.

I’ve never gotten the $50 per day rate for me either.

What I do is try to figure out the cost of the portions of the HIA package that I’ll use (Crew Appreciation, Premium internet, and excursions. Not a drinker or coffee drinker so the Beverage package goes to waste with me, same with speciality restaurants) and subtract it from the difference between the base price and the HIA price.

Example: Today I booked a transatlantic. The difference between the HIA price and the base price was $1047.  I figured the Crew Appr. would be $18 a day x 14 days/$252. Premium Internet $350. Excursion allowance $200. Total-$802.

The difference would be $245. This is what I figure I’m paying to get the HIA package. I can live with that number.  The difference is sometimes much higher, such as with my Alaska cruise next year. For that one I went with the base price.

it’s confusing and less than transparent. 
 

The $50pp/day ONLY applies when comparing the ‘Advantage’ fare to the ‘Have it all’ fare.  Any discounted fare BELOW the Advantage fare (standard early booking no-perk refundable deposit) will distort the difference. 
 

Most, but not all, discounted/private sale/casino fares can have Have it all added as a post booking add-on in the cruise planner or by calling reservations. There is a specific code the reservations team can use to do this. Adding Have it all CAN AND will affect travel protection premiums.  Beware some reservations agents will try and re-fare rather than ADD the proper code if you call in.
 

The current Early booking bonus version with elite bev, upgraded WiFi and gratuities is NOT able to be added, only the standard version. 
 

As always a GOOD AND KNOWLEDGEABLE TA knows how to navigate this.  Not all TA are good or knowledgeable

I have booked a casino rate cruise and then been able to purchase the HIA package at the $50 per person per day if it is offered at a later date. It is not always offered and does disappear as you get closer to departure

On my upcoming cruise the difference was right about $50/day for an 11 day Caribbean cruise.  I took it since I got $200 each in shore excursions and free customer appreciation.  Figured the drink part cost me about $20 per day.

The price including the HIA is typically a refundable fare. The first is non-refundable. You can book that and then add HIA later at the $50pd
