Island princess appears to be going round in circles. Anyone have any information?

They departed Southampton a day late and were supposed to be going to the Netherlands (not in original itinerary) and they seem to have delayed that by going round in circles and arrive there, allegedly, in about 4 hours, when they could have saved the passengers being buffeted all day by going straight there.

Incidentally, I know what the weather is like I live on the East coast of the UK and know someone onboard, but they are keeping quiet!

No. Hamburg was the 1st planned stop today. No chance to get there. Tomorrow Aarhus, Denmark. No chance to get there.

Glad I didn't book on the Oct 30 UK-Rome cruise, even if this system has passed. I will be on Greece/Italy/Turkey in late November, but it should be calmer, especially since they cancelled the two Israel stops.

Storm Babet has been devastating for parts of the east coast of UK. Mostly Scotland.

 

several lives lost, many homes evacuated, other places cut off, no power, houses wrecked through flooding

 

I'm sure it’s upsetting when itineraries have to change, but I would absolutely hate to be on the water in the North Sea through that storm
