Accessible stateroom

We will be staying in an accessible stateroom on Regent in January for the first time.  I understand there is no closet, just a cabinet for our clothes.  I am concerned about the amount of room for clothes like dresses and slacks that are long.  Anyone have any input they can give me please?  Also the shelf space I. The bathroom?

There should be a walk in closet. In addition, Regent will bring small dresser units to your room if you ask. The bathroom is larger than normal. What ship/room number are you in?

We are on the Mariner in suite 919.  I think the info says there is no walk in closet just a cabinet?

@Pcardad is that an accessible suite as it has a bath - I thought they only had a shower ?

I've been in quite of few of the accessible suites and they all had closets. Memory says they have large open showers and no tubs but there is plenty of room for a shower stool/seat if you bring it.

We will be sailing next month on Mariner, in suite 919.  I haven't been able to find out anything about its layout, either, other than stock reports that there's no walk-in closet and that the head is shower-only.

I'll recover this thread when we return and give you direct information.

We were in a Mariner accessible cabin, 829 I think, and there certainly was no closet, just a wardrobe.  But there was a small closet as well as I remember, and some drawers.  I found I had plenty of room. There's a ramp out to the balcony, and one into the bathroom, but they don't get in your way generally.

And yes, the bathroom is larger.  The shower stall is a bit messy, since there's a system of curtains instead of a door.  The stewardess will spend some time each day mopping up water.

All in all the room felt a bit roomier than I think the standard Mariner one would feel.

As I mentioned, the Good Mrs. Benson and I sailed this past week on Mariner, in suite 919.  It was a good space.  Before I post the photos I took, here are a few details.

The regular concierge-level stateroom is approximately 252-269 square feet, with a 50-sq.-ft. balcony.  Suite 919 is approximately 300 sq. ft., with a 50-sq.-ft. balcony.

The layout of 919 deviates from the typical Mariner concierge suite.  919 opens into the sitting area first, and opposite the foot of the bed is the desk and mini-bar.  The distance between the foot of the bed and the desk is wider than the distance between the bed and the opposite bulkhead in a conventional Mariner concierge suit (presumably to permit the passage of a wheelchair or mechanised scooter).

There is no closet; just a large cabinet which will accommodate long items, such as a cocktail dress.  The amount of cabinet space just met our needs, but, of course, it depends on how much you pack.

Here are the photos.

This is what you see when you first step in.

To the right---no, that isn't the clothes cabinet---it's a tall bureau with storage space for foldable clothing and other items such as shoes.  Further right is the door to the bathroom.

On the other side of the bathroom door, to one's immediate right as he stands in the suite door way, is the clothes cabinet.  It's larger than it appears in the photo, and wider, with another set of double-doors.  Unfortunately, I didn't think to get a good shot of the cabinet.

A couple more views of the room from the initial entry.

A view of the bathroom.  I liked its size.  There were no drawers beneath the sink, to accommodate wheelchair users.

There is no bathtub, and the shower is not contained---there's simply a curtain.  Again, to accommodate wheelchair users, as does the bench in the shower.  Having only a curtain is slightly problematic when it comes to shower water on the deck.  The shower deck is slighly inclined toward a deck drain.  But no matter how quickly you shower, some water escapes onto the deck of the bathroom.  Best to lay out the mat towel and a bath towel on the main space of the deck.

Two shots of the balcony.

The condition of the suite was good.  It's been well maintained, and it shows no noticeable signs of wear and tear or degradation.

Hope this helps.
