Linking bookings and my time dining reservations

 Share

Recommended Posts

I booked separate from the rest of the family. I linked our bookings in the app but when I go to make a my time reservation i get this message.

Can we just all show up at the same time and ask to be seated together? or should I do something like calling royal to fix this?

Just show up together.

From what I have seen this is the last thing I would suggest . You will wait in a long line and with a larger party , I can only imagine the headache.

Best to call and try and sort something out . Not sure if it can be fixed pre cruise , but at the very least you'll want to head to the MDR first thing when you board , and hope they can get you fixed up.

Unfortunately ALL the earlier times are going to be gone .

Disagree...not if you go a bit before the MTD room opens. But I do agree to check the day you board.

Because we cruise often and with a variety of friends, I frequently have this situation. My experience is that calling does not help. Only thing to do (in my experience) is to make the reservations for as many people as you can and then go to the maitre D as soon as you board and ask to have the number of people at your table increased.

Now, if you are in a suite, you might have more success.

Certainly, if you have the time and want to try calling, please let us know if you are successful.

I said a few things . Curious which do you disagree with ? Or everything ?

It was to your response (quote) to my post that said "show up together". If you show up together a bit before the dining room opens there's usually not that many people in line.

However I agreed to your suggestion to check at the MTD venue boarding day.

Not sure what you found so confusing.

I guess for now we will all book at the same time and stop by MDR on boarding day.  I might try to call in, or have the one with the loft suite call in if that helps.

My last cruise on Oasis solo I did MTD reservation at about 7pm every day.  There was little to no line at that time and I sat at the same table except one night.

Update with some good news.  Two different room booking reservations are now linked and can my time dine together, but the third one still has the group ID error.

What might have helped is on the website account page where it lists your upcoming cruises there is a button at the bottom that says add a cruise.  I typed in my parents info there and that is the one that linked in the app.  So I just tried that with third one with the error.  I will check it tomorrow to see if the third one links.

I've been trying to link our reservations as well. I could have sworn somewhere on Royals website you could link friends and family cabins.

We have 7 cabins that were booked differently - 2 cabins Casino Royale offers, 2 cabins booked from vacation point - timeshare, 3 cabins via RCCL.COM.  I think I'm going to call Crown and Anchor to see if they will link them together so we can have late dinner together.

Where in the App did you link them? I can't find it. Thx.

I did two things...

On my PC I went to my account page.  Scroll all the way down at the bottom.  There is a button that says add a cruise.  Type in the info there.  You will need the reservation number, name, and date of birth.

On the app, click the dining button at the bottom.  click main dining tab.  click my time dining (usually at the bottom).  Click make reservation.  At the bottom click the plus sign that says add guests.  You will need to type in their info there too.

I am  still waiting on the third reservation to link.  I can do MTD reservation for five out of seven of us.  I wonder if they have to do a confirmation on their end to let the link go through.  I will have to ask the people we are cruising with if they got an email about it.
