Any suggestions for tours for: rafting, rock climbing, dog sled (girls are animal lovers) or other ideas for our active 11-14 year olds? We are traveling on the Celebrity Edge in August of 2024. Our kids love cruising to discover new places, aren't concerned about teen/kids club. Also, any restaurant/authentic food experiences we shouldn't miss? TIA

We really enjoyed Glacier Wilderness Safari out of Skagway.   It includes about a mile hike through woods, canoeing (large 6 person canoe with a motor!), all to get to the Davison Glacier....I think it would be perfect for active teens.

Also, I think whale watching would appeal to all ages..   We got extremely lucky on our whale watching out of ISP and saw fantastic views of whales.

Whale watch smaller boat (independent) in Icy Straights and Juneau.  Eagle preserve raft in Skagway (ferry to Haines).  Helicopter to glacier with dogsled in Juneau.  Miner's camp in Skagway has puppies and dog sled rides on wheels.  Floatplane to Neets Bay to see bears in Ketchikan.  Kayak or canoe at Mendenhall Glacier in Juneau.

There is a zipline in Skagway but we haven't been yet - scheduled for next summer.
