Rare Low Country Sandlapper Posted October 27, 2023 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2023 My husband and I will be booking an Alaska cruise and want to stay in a Neptune Suite. We will be traveling with friends who want to stay in a balcony cabin. If they join Club Orange, will we be able to embark and disembark with them and eat with them in the same restaurants? Or will we sacrifice some of the perks of booking a Neptune suite? Does anyone know? Thank you for your help.
Nodakboiler Posted October 27, 2023 #2 Share Posted October 27, 2023 If you are in a pinnacle class ship, you were both have breakfast in club orange and can both have dinner in club orange. If not, Neptune suite breakfast is held in the pinnacle Grill and club orange is held in the main dining room with special seating.
Rare kazu Posted October 27, 2023 #3 Share Posted October 27, 2023 If they buy Club Orange they will basically be able to do whatever you do other than go in the Neptune Lounge. the only tricky spot is breakfast. If you are on a Pinnacle Class ship, then you can both dine in Club Orange dining room. Otherwise you are entitled to the Pinnacle Grill for breakfast and that they cannot join in on. Rare Low Country Sandlapper Posted October 27, 2023 Author #4 Share Posted October 27, 2023 We will be either on the Noordam or Niew Amsterdam. I don’t think they are Pinnacle Class.
Nodakboiler Posted October 27, 2023 #5 Share Posted October 27, 2023 They are not Pinnacle class so your breakfasts are in different places. You should be able to sit together in the main dining room for dinner.
Moriah Posted October 27, 2023 #6 Share Posted October 27, 2023 On those ships there will be nothing you can't do together except breakfast in the Pinnacle. So unless your friends have other reasons for wanting to join Club Orange, I don't think they need to in order to eat with you - you can all eat dinner together in any restaurant you want. Your friends won't be able to use the Neptune Lounge, of course. As for embarkation, it depends on the port and how loosey goosey they are. In some ports, you can have them priority board as part of your "party", in others you can't. But this certainly isn't worth the price of Club Orange. They will embark soon after you and well before sail-away in any case! 🙂

Toofarfromthesea Posted October 27, 2023 #8 Share Posted October 27, 2023 Of course Club Orange could still be a good deal for them if they are able to take advantage of the cabin upgrade.
Rare POA1 Posted October 27, 2023 #9 Share Posted October 27, 2023 There is nothing to prevent you from eating breakfast in the MDR or Lido if you want to dine together.
