Specialty Dining Availability, According To The App

We are sailing next weekend and currently have the Plus package. After calculating our cruising style with the value of Premier, I am now thinking we want to upgrade. When I go in the app and try to do a mock booking for specialty restaurants during our cruise, it looks Sabatinis is the only one with any availability at all during the week. Does anyone have experience with this, or having that happen but still being able to get a table once onboard? The main reason we see value in upgrading to Premier is the inclusion of two specialty dining meals, so we'd be pretty disappointed if they were all booked up. Thanks for any feedback/experience on this.

A certain number of reservations are held back for those with the premier package.  Once you have upgraded, your reservation will reflect this and allow you to book your choice of restaurant and time.  It will also show that you have two each included in your fare and you won’t be prompted to pay.  Your invoice will total out as zero.

We just did exactly this a few weeks ago when we upgraded our bookings from plus to premier.  You should have no problem making reservations once the app is showing a premier fare.

And...there is a strong feeling that *all* tables are not reflected in the app reservation system *regardless* of your package (or lack thereof.)  You will generally see a separate line for "without reservations" (with a short wait.)

Don’t believe what you see on the app. We have never had an issue even without a premier package getting into specialty dining with just a day or so notice. You may have an issue on embarkation night when full suites are guaranteed specialty dining. W usually eat around 7:30 or 8:00 and rarely have issues
