Winging it in Cozumel

Arriving tomorrow via RCL. First time in Cozumel.  Have no plans.  Was just thinking of grabbing a taxi into San Miguel.  Anything to see sites wise, maybe a good lunch spot, etc?  Want to just walk around, maybe find some actual local Mexican shops. Don't want a beach day as we are in Cococay this trip too.

 

Any ideas?

To get real deals in town you need to go a few blocks away from the tourist area.  Great little stores with decent prices.  It helps if you can speak a little Spanish, but they will work with you. Check out these websites for plenty of info:  cozumelinsider.com and cozumelmycozumel.com.
