Still the same as Edge 2019?

Hi we are thinking about a cruise on Apex for early 2025. We are just wondering if the set up is still the same as it was pre Covid when we were in EDGE in terms of how to book the restaurants each evening. Ie we booked our choice of the 4 MDRs before we went and were able to change them on the app once on board if we wanted to. We loved that system.

As I read it, you no longer book the four MDRs you just show up whenever since they are all now open seating

We are on an ascent upcoming trip and we’re able to reserve the different MDR venues ahead of time.

As I understand it, that is only an illusion.  An artifact of the IT system.  It also looks like you can make reservations in Luminae and in blue and neither one of them take reservations, either.  On E class ships all four of the MDRs are open seating.

Thanks for the heads up. That's not.good news and seems like a step backwards. Do you just turn up and have a pager then?
