Bird flu on South Georgia

Presently on Silversea Silver Wind in South Georgia. We have only been able to go ashore to one penguin rookery and have been told the whole island will soon be closed to shore landings because of bird flu which has affected the seal population.

Sadly yes I think a full closure may be a forgone conclusion for the sake of the wildlife.
