ms1inmw Posted November 24, 2023 #1 Share Posted November 24, 2023 We have an upgrade offer go go from our grand deluxe suite to a Royal suite on the Seashore. How does this room sleep 5 (2 adults and three children)?
Rare Essiesmom Posted November 24, 2023 #2 Share Posted November 24, 2023 The deck plan symbols indicate a double sleeper sofa and a single sleeper sofa. EM
peder Posted November 24, 2023 #3 Share Posted November 24, 2023 It does not sleep 5. MSC perhaps originally planned to allow the Royal Suites and Owners Suites to sleep 5, but they do not in practice. Your upgrade offer will go nowhere, even if the room is available. Interestingly, the MSC website still lists in some places that the rooms sleep 5 but won't let you book them as such.
Two Wheels Only Posted November 25, 2023 #4 Share Posted November 25, 2023 (edited) When Seashore info first started coming in (before the ship was built), MSC had "sleeps 5" listed for the RS and OS. Many sites copied this info but even back then, MSC only allowed booking for up to 4. The info above is correct. Even if a Royal Suite is available, it cannot be booked for 5 but if the number of passengers is changed to 4, you can book it.
