When things go wrong, they keep going wrong for a while.  Good time for the sauna... clear out the bad juju. Relax and start over.

Count to ten and chiiiiiiiiill. You are on a ship which you like and having a holiday, perhaps not as restful on Carnival as it would be on Cunard, but nonetheless agreeable. So a bit of deep breathing and you’ll be fine. 😃 Relax and chill.

I can feel the stress melting away already as I take in sail away from one of the most beautiful cities to sail away from. Excitement is contagious, and there is a lot of excitement in the air.

I think it's all good juju from here.

I just dropped my cup of ice water I brought down with me, so maybe I should not go to the casino for a while just in case there is still some lingering 🙂

Since I just took in Miami, and my phone is still desperately in need of charging, I mostly just got some ship pics at today's sail away.

The weather has improved over last week.

First out today is the Carnival Sunrise, which gets to sail up the channel and turn around like we did last week.

Docked behind us is Celebrity Summit, which is supposed to be my next cruise.

I saw Nautical Nurse Nancy at sail away. I haven't watched her videos in a while I had to look her up to see if she was still vlogging. I don't know why the YouTube machine let me forget about her but I'm going to spend some time catching up on her videos.

I may doze off, I got the room pretty cold but I don't have the snoozing sign on so if I do fall asleep I will probably be woken up soon by Stuart. It's all good, if I fall asleep too long this late, I may end up sleeping through the night.

I need a cat.

We always want cats or dogs...
But you have to be home on a regular basis to take care of them...
Luckily for us we have 6 neighborhood dogs & 3 cats who all come to our house for treats & love and believe they belong to us 🙂

The drink that makes the Cheers package worthwhile.💗

One of my favorites. I love a sweet and spicy drink.

Royal used to have a habenero grapefruit daiquiri I enjoyed. Then it was always out of stock.  Now it's off the menu.

Hope I never lose this one it is delicious.

Good point. And I bet they cost me more in the long run than the chef's table they buy me.

Absolutely expensive for the neighbors 🙂

We keep both Kitty & Pup Treats in bowls @ the front door...
It's quite possible we may also buy toys for them.
They come looking for us & sit @ the front door until we come out.

Some bark or Meow
Mabel, one of two former British Mastiff's who are no longer w/ us, used to sit & wait.

She'd let out one big Woof if neither of us noticed her in a timely manner.
Mabes was one of the Loves of my Life - I miss her, Moose & Murray constantly!

Even though they rarely spend the night with us - they certainly are still part of the family!

These days we have:

Pups - Bandit, Smokey (Bandit's son), Molly, Goose, Asha & Roxie

Kitties - Chitlin (aka "Lit'l *****), Kaladi (aka Latte) & Myrtle

Now the Peeps should not feel left out...

We have Twin (2 sets - 9 & 4)) appropriate treats always available in their personal treat spot, and Beer, Vodka, a Seltzer or 2 & Champagne chilled for everyone else.

The crawfish strudel was very good. It was very flaky with a nice crunch when you bite into it. It was also piping hot inside. We are reaching Cunard levels of food temperature here. The sauce was spicy with a very good kick. I think if you don't like spicy, I would stay away from this one, or enjoy it without the sauce.

The duck rolls were another winner. I can't say that I really tasted the duck, was just a very nice spring chilled spring roll. Reminds me of the old app from night one, that was always a favorite, the Vietnamese spring roll. The sauce was another spicy one, although not as intense but just as delicious.

The short rib was what I wanted from my short rib at Cucina last week. Moist and full of flavor. Notice it also came with a starch! The potato it was served with was great. The green beans in it were just kind of there, they did not really add anything to the dish, but I enjoyed them still. The gravy it was served in was better in Cucina, but this one did not need a gravy, and it still had a nice flavor. Would pick this over Cucina any day!

The salmon was what I have come to love from these new dishes, as a seafood lover I feel like these menus were designed with me in mind. This is the second fish with a BBQ glaze, and just like the last one, it paired unexpectedly well with the fish.  The onion rings on top provided a nice crunch and had great flavor. An odd combination with salmon, but a delicious one .

I had low expectations for the navel cake, but it turned out to be really good. The orange flavor was popping in my mouth (in a good way) giving it a nice citrus zing that I enjoyed. It was moist and not too sweet.

Another great dinner and it's too bad I missed this menu last week as there are still a number of items I want to try out on this menu, while I could still easily do some repeats from this one!

Service was a bit slow. It is the first night so I understand that is part of it. Part of it is the practice of seating everyone in a section at the same time, and then serving everyone at the pace of the slowest diner. Drives me insane.

I didn't think I was going to rally tonight but I am catching a second wind.

Dinner ran long, won't make the 90's music trivia again unless I run there now, but I still need to prepare the mobile bar. I may go for the end, I don't need to play I just want to hear the songs.

Piano lady is off again. They don't typically get the first night of the cruise off, so she must be sick again even though she made it out last night.

I'll find some music somewhere to keep me going as long as my second wind holds out!
