Southwest Airlines.....Did I dream this?

i know that Southwest Airlines (SWA) has always required full payment in either points or "Cash/Money". You weren't allowed to split payment of a single reservation into part points and the rest in cash. So, in the last couple of weeks, I thought I had read somewhere that they were changing that policy to allow customers to split how they pay for a single reservation. Of course, I can't find anything like this now on any internet site, and friends think I've lost my mind! I'm beginning to think I simply dreamed this after doing a lot of flight research for an upcoming trip.

 

Do any of you have any knowledge of this kind of change by SWA? Things like is it true, and if so, when is it effective?
