Things close to pier in Tortola? Beach, shopping, etc?

We will be going to Tortola in January cruise and just curious if there is a beach within walking distance of the pier?  And what type of shopping is there? Is it normal cruise pier type shops or is it a local town area you can walk to?

If there is no beach within walking distance, what is the closest one and associated taxi fare. Some of the fares I saw seem a little high, but that may be for areas that are a good ways from the pier.  Thanks in advance for the guidance.

No beach within walking distance, you dock in a marina area where all the cats and ferries are. Typical port shops around the pier plus Pusser’s Road Town Pub. Road Town is primarily a financial district beyond the cruise dock area.

Closest beaches are Brandywine Bay and Nanny Cay (15 min, not sure about amenities), beaches with amenities are Cane Garden Bay and Brewers Bay (20 min). Taxi fare depends on the number of ppl, using a shared safari taxi fare is $10 - $12/pp each way…
