Move up - what’s the point?

I have selected a particular balcony cabin in my preferred location ..

Now I am offered the opportunity of a ‘move up’.

However even the aqua class cabins are said to be partially obstructed.

Why would anyone want to move up to an un- specified cabin?

What are the potential benefits of a move up from balcony  on Celebrity Millenium?

Even the spa does not provide a hydrotherapy pool

If you don’t care about where your cabin is and you want to try for an upgrade at a lower cost than booking outright, MoveUp is a great program. If you are particular about your cabin location, you are better off choosing the right cabin from the start.

Going from balcony to Aqua Class on an M class ship gives you a little bigger cabin and access to Blu for breakfast and dinner plus the spa and a few other small amenities.

Other than when looking up, I don’t believe there are actual obstructed view Aqua Class cabins on M class ships.  And the overhang can be a benefit in either inclement or hot weather.  Personally, if the cost was reasonable, I’d do it just for access to Blu. I find it much preferable to the MDR.

For me MoveUp to a suite was an opportunity to get a bigger cabin and access to Luminae.  We’re a party of 3 so the extra space will be good for all of us.  The higher category suites were all in excellent locations, so those were the ones I bid on.  I’ve was successful in obtaining a Celebrity Suite at £2,000 pp less than the cost of one if I’d booked direct.
