Rare APDMOM Posted December 24, 2023 Author #156 Share Posted December 24, 2023 (edited) TIP: I recommend doing a Nassau tour at least one time. At first, we did not like Nassau that much. I know many people talk it down. However, I find I like it more and more, especially since I have done a tour and know how walkable the port is. I don't recommend walking alone, but with my bodyguard (DH) I felt perfectly safe and enjoyed the walk. Junkanoo beach is an easy walk from the ship. Just turn right outside the port and follow the sidewalk, go past Margaritaville, and you will soon see Junkanoo on the right. It is about 1 km from the port (less than a mile). I know it's a still picture, but I don't detect a sense of urgency from people arriving 35 minutes late. Yep, that is exactly how it went - no rush, no running, no sense of responsibility. 🙈

Rare APDMOM Posted December 24, 2023 Author #163 Share Posted December 24, 2023 Evening Entertainment: TIP: Whatever you do, don't miss this! Skip the raffle drawing in the shops (the prizes were cheap rings). Do not pass "GO", do not collect $200... Go straight to O'Sheehan's or the Atrium and get a front row seat for the Movie Sketch Comedy Game Show. It is the most hilarious show - even counting all of our 43 cruises. With the videos, I will try to show a bit of it, but "You had to be there". 🤣 In the show, Jack gives clues about 18 movies, then the entertainment team acts out the movies. Rare APDMOM Posted December 24, 2023 Author #169 Share Posted December 24, 2023 Disembarkation - Self-Assist: I don't know if this is normal for NCL, but there were MANY more people doing self-assist than in our recent experiences. It could also be due to the date, with everyone trying to get on the road early. This was predicted to be one of the two busiest days on the road due to holiday travel. We fell into a LONG line for self-assist at 7:38. We were through customs and at our car (parked at pier 10 garage) by 8:08, so it was very fast despite the long line. The longest wait was to get out of the parking garage at the port. At least 3 lanes merge into one, including cars merging from the parking area by Disney and Carnival. It was quite a bottleneck. It took about 30 minutes just to get out onto 528. A final view of the APP: 😞

Rare APDMOM Posted December 24, 2023 Author #173 Share Posted December 24, 2023 Balcony Cabin 13892: TIP: There are several balconies that are angled that cost the same as the regular balconies. When you look at the deckplans, find the ones that have a slanted edge - this means they have a bit larger balcony. On this picture, it includes 13252, 13852, 13270, 13870, 13292, and 13892. If you want more shelter from the wind, booke one that is angled to the back of the ship, like 13892. If you want wind on your balcony, booke the forward facing type like13870. We made our booking on October 8th, and I was suprised to still have these available to book. The Balcony View Forward: The Balcony View Aft: The Balcony View Down The forward side of the balcony. You can see it has double the depth on the forward side. Aft side of the balcony (Normal depth for a balcony): 5

Rare APDMOM Posted December 24, 2023 Author #175 Share Posted December 24, 2023 Inside 13892: DS had the couch bed - this usually has a nice duvet, but he likes only a sheet, so our cabin steward stored the duvet out of the way for us. I love these hairdryers! I looked for them online after our first Escape cruise, but they are only sold in Europe. Practical storage for the hairdryer! 🙂 There are USB plugs by the bed - one on each side: Plugs by the Vanity: TIP: Remember to turn on "Make up Room" when you leave your cabin in the morning. I love that the safe has a light inside! It fits an iPad Air easily if you angle it:
