Status Match and Voyager Club Points

Does anyone know that when you are status matched to Gold for your first cruise, will you also earn voyager club points for that cruise and any incidental spending?  Thanks.

Yes. We status matched prior to our first cruise and got points for the cruise and spending.

 Anyone know exactly how Voyager Clubs points are credited/earned ?
