Scooter42 Posted December 28, 2023 #1 Share Posted December 28, 2023 For anyone who has booked a 'guaranteed cabin' (we specified balcony accessible as my husband needs to use a scooter) when did you hear which cabin you are? We also have decided against Princess Plus and will pre-pay gratuities. We don't drink and that will cover a couple of good excursions. How does one buy internet aboard, if that's the case? wannagonow123 Posted December 28, 2023 #2 Share Posted December 28, 2023 You can order the internet through the app. Go to MeddalionNet section.
Rare Rick&Jeannie Posted December 28, 2023 #3 Share Posted December 28, 2023 Or you can just wait until on board and buy it then if you have OBC that you need to use.
skynight Posted December 28, 2023 #4 Share Posted December 28, 2023 I see a total of 14 Wheelchair Accessible balcony cabins on the Grand Princess. You may hear at anytime what cabin you have been assigned. It could be the week of your sailing. Internet can be pre-purchased or purchased on board. If purchased on board it will be applied to any OBC you may have. The cost is $20/day for one device or $15/day if you purchase for the entire cruise. One device means that only one device can be logged on at a time. You can log off one device and then log onto a different device. If both of you want to be connected to the internet throughout the cruise then each of you will have to purchase an internet plan. There is no charge to use the on board intranet. Ocean Now, which is the ability to order room service and delivery to anywhere on the ship via your smart device has a one time fee of $15. Room service breakfast using the door hanging tag is no charge. Room service using the telephone cost $5 for each call.
EconDoc Posted December 28, 2023 #5 Share Posted December 28, 2023 Guarantee cabins seem to be allocated often between 5 weeks and 3 days before sailing, but can be earlier or later. With a special request like you have, it may take longer because there are only a few qualifying cabins and they will likely have to move someone up to make room for you. They won't move people up for free until all the bidding has a chance play out.
Bizziecruzer Posted December 28, 2023 #6 Share Posted December 28, 2023 Be aware, you may not get an accessible cabin. There is a limited supply.
