Water Island

I will be on Carnival Magic and in port from 7-4. Looking for tips and experiences for going to water island. Thank you

You'll need a taxi from Havensight to the water taxi at Crown Bay Marina. Be sure you give yourself plenty of time on return as water taxi schedule and traffic could slow your return back to Havensight. Otherwise, you can walk to Honeymoon Beach.

A couple years ago we grabbed a group taxi that stopped first at Emerald Beach and dropped the other few folks off, the. Took us to Crown Bay where we caught the water taxi over. Had pre-reserved a golf cart on Water Island and spent a fun day driving around and checking everything out. We were the only people from our ship (or maybe any ship) and had the place mostly to ourselves (save the beach which was a bit busier). As above, you need to get off the ship and go first thing. The water taxi fills up quick and it was first come/first serve.

If we took the ferry to honeymoon beach on water island, would it be reasonable to walk around the island vs renting a golf cart? We are able to walk a few miles without issues. The island looks small enough. I only see that people rent golf carts. Thank you

Yes, you can walk the island. I've done that. There are maps online showing the few roads and the fort. You might lose cell service in some areas, though.
