Earliest flight out of Tampa

Hi. We are arriving back in Tampa in September at 7:00 am on Grandeur of the Seas. There is a flight out of Tampa airport at 11:11 am. Is this doable if we walk our luggage off ship and take a taxi or Uber to airport?  Otherwise next flight is at 5 pm.  Thanks.

I would take the early flight. Besides taxi's there are shuttle bus's lined up just outside the terminal door. They hold big signs...$10.00pp cash and we were one of the first to hop on and it filled up amazingly fast and we were on our way to TPA. Even the shuttles behind this one were filling up fast. We did self assist and it couldn't have been easier off RCI Serenade. No way would I want to wait until a 5 pm flight.

Just as a heads up, Tampa Bay can get fogged in. Earlier this year, ship didn't dock until 6 p.m. as the Port was closed due to fog. Just be aware…

Our ship was also delayed due to fog.

 

You can book an early flight, just make sure you have a backup plan in case the ship is delayed several hours.
