Celebrity Basic WiFi vs Cruise Critic

Having gotten off the Celebrity Equinox after a cruise that ran from January 8th to January 18th, I can confirm that there are some challenges when using the basic WiFi package. While streaming media (audio/video) and using WiFi calling/texting on your mobile phone were already expected to be not available, plus the speed limitation put into place, there is also active blocking of content on sites. One of those sites happens to be Cruise Critic which became more and more unusable as cached content expired and could not be reloaded especially with the JavaScript used to run the web forums.

It's annoying but to be expected.

To my knowledge they are not blocking CC.   CC uses a lot of scripts and behind the scenes code gathering data and accessing other websites.  They are also embedding adverts on the headers and said bars that contribute to this.   The cap on data speed just can't usually handle it.

Even with the highspeed there are often lags and if you look on bottom left you will see all the sites being accessed.
