Rare Vallesan Posted January 23 #3 Share Posted January 23 I’ve sailed on Nautica several times but haven’t sailed Celebrity so I can only give you my opionion of the ‘R’ class ships rather than a comparison. I like the ‘atmosphere’ of the smaller ships the staff get to know you and your preferences more easily. The veranda cabins are quite tight and the bathrooms tiny so we always take a PH on those ships whereas on the ‘O’ class we take a veranda. There are only two speciality restaurants on the Nautica, Polo Grill and Toscana whereas there are four on the ‘O’ ships and the Sirena sort of has three …. Red Ginger and Tuscan Steak, which is an amalgamation of Toscana and Polo. But of course all the ships have the GDR and waves as well. I wouldn't turn my nose up at any of the ships but to feel as though we are starting to favour the larger ships for the variety of eating venues. It really depends on what’s most important to you. Norseh2o Posted January 23 #4 Share Posted January 23 Sailed the Nautica October, 2023 in a Ph2. Port intensive in the Mediterranean, great trip, one night really rough seas so missed port of Rome. We enjoyed 1 night at Toscana @7:00pm, 2 nights at Polo, one 2-top, @6:30, party of 6 @7:00pm, Looking to book another Nautica trip when 2026 schedule is available. Rare Harters Posted January 23 #5 Share Posted January 23 My review of Nautica from last June, if that can be considered recent. https://boards.cruisecritic.co.uk/topic/2948340-nautica-196-296-review/
