deora24 Posted January 24 #1 Share Posted January 24 Thoughts on booking a deck 1 cabin? We’ve never stayed that low before…but that’s all that’s available for Ocean View last minute Caribbean itineraries. Anyone stayed on deck 1? Pros and cons? ROUS Posted January 24 #2 Share Posted January 24 Lots of music venues overhead. If you like to listen to thumping bass beats, deck 1 is the place to be. Never again, for us.
Seasick Sailor Posted January 24 #3 Share Posted January 24 Mid section on deck one should be ok.
Rare QuattroRomeo Posted January 24 #4 Share Posted January 24 We have been on deck 1 three times on Pinnacle ships. Mid to aft, no problem. Wouldn't do forward though; too many music venues above.
cruisedd Posted January 24 #5 Share Posted January 24 I was in a single cabin forward of the stairway so I was not underneath the music venues. Cabin #1011. It was very quiet and I liked the location.
Dancing Shoes Posted January 24 #6 Share Posted January 24 We were on deck one. Just make sure you are back and not under any musical venue. There were shops above us and it was fine. Look at the deck two map. We liked being close to the Dutch Cafe to grab morning coffee. Also, it is nice looking out being just above the water. Rare POA1 Posted January 24 #8 Share Posted January 24 We always look at what's above and below us when selecting a room. There are plenty of cabins on deck 1 that are below quiet areas. Just grab the PDF deck plan and look at what's on 2 above you.

In cabin 1011 I could not hear the Main Stage either, but that venue does not stay open as late as the Music Walk.
Radbooks Posted January 24 #10 Share Posted January 24 We were in room 1024 on a 29 day crossing and never had an issue with noise. It's up near the front bank of stairs/elevators. We liked the quiet.
Carryons_only Posted January 27 #11 Share Posted January 27 We are in FB 1085 Aft window cabin which is under main dining room on 2. Likely to be noisy in the morning? This is a repositioning cruise but we’re staying on for 21 days.

deora24 Posted January 29 Author #14 Share Posted January 29 Thanks everyone. Booked a last minute 9 day Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale 3/8-17. Cabin C1150 After looking at deck plans it’s not under any music venues. Fingers crossed!
