The symbol of Venice, the winged lion, apparently is not impressed with the string trio and appears to either be mooning them or ready to take a dump. Guess nobody signed off on that install. 🙄Hilarious !

Yikes! I remember when that happened; was totally enjoying your LIVE then poof 💨 you were gone 🤷♀️ We were all so worried something had happened to you. Let's hope no repeat this time 🤞

Sorry I forgot to get a pic of the dessert bento box, it was beautiful and delicious, especially the pistachio cake. You mean this...

Rare IntrepidFromDC Posted February 16 Author #159 Share Posted February 16 First port day today, Antigua. I learned I've been mispronouncing it all my life. Pronounced like "Antiga".
Rare IntrepidFromDC Posted February 16 Author #160 Share Posted February 16 I have a full island excursion and although we'll see a few of the 365 beaches Antigua is known for, we'll only stop at one, Frye's Beach, for 2 hours...

Rare IntrepidFromDC Posted February 16 Author #163 Share Posted February 16 Heavenly Chaos Tours...they have 5 or 6 different excursions and pack a couple hundred people into a courtyard without individual tour signs so when one tour gets called to proceed to their bus, it's like "human bumper cars". The pier area is pretty without the "Carnival Shopping Gauntlet".
Rare IntrepidFromDC Posted February 16 Author #164 Share Posted February 16 Our first stop was at a surviving member of British colonization home, on a mountaintop. She told us alot about her family history, but nothing of historical interest.

Rare IntrepidFromDC Posted February 16 Author #168 Share Posted February 16 The tourguide had a lot of British bashing in his monologue which didn't go over too well with the 4 Brits and 2 expats on the bus. Everytime theyd grumble at one of his jokes he'd say something funny like "oh, we didn't think you'd come back. The Antiguans won their independence from the British in 1976, more on that later.
Rare IntrepidFromDC Posted February 16 Author #169 Share Posted February 16 Our next stop was a pineapple plantation. You see our tourguide standing next to a very spiky sandbox tree where the Brits would chain the slaves to the tree and beat them. The baby pineapple was cute, and the sample was better than the best fresh organic pineapple I've ever had at Wholepaycheck Foods. 6
Rare IntrepidFromDC Posted February 16 Author #170 Share Posted February 16 Next stop was Frye's Beach for a Carnival-quality lunch and 1.5 hours beach time. The beach was great, the rum punch with local rum was good. The food, notsomuch.
