Just one port in Turkey. Money question

On my upcoming cruise we have one stop in Turkey, Kusadasi. I would like to explore the town on my own, drink one or two coffee maybe eat a kebab or something. How are your experinces regarding money, take a bit from an atm? pay with card? or even expect that at a touristy town like that i can use euros?

Kusadasi is very touristy, as you said. I would consider using credit card for anything you can. Most merchants selling souvenirs etc. will be happy to give you a price in lira, euros or dollars, but of course you should keep an eye on the exchange rate if you do this.

 

I hope you are planning to visit the absolutely outstanding site of Ephesus. It is one of the "must sees" of the Med.
