Sorobon beach

Has anyone been here ?   Looks like it’s close to the port.  Believe there is a public area  so you don’t need to go through the resort

Sorobon is the name of a resort located on Lac Bay, which is on the other side of the island from the port.  People generally refer to Lac Bay as “Sorobon” but the resort does not own the beach.    There are many restaurants, bars, places to enter the water.  Sebastian’s Beach is at the far end, through a restaurant, but you can also drive past it and find free beach access.   Lots of windsurfers here due to the shallow calm water, very interesting to watch.  You can’t walk it, but a cab can take you.    Just remember to arrange a pickup time and get the cab drivers number before the cab drives off.

We went last week to Sebastian’s. We rented a golf cart and took us about an hour to get there. doing the counter clockwise southern route. Probably 1/2 hour the other direction and quicker if you take a taxi. It’s not really a swimming beach as it’s very shallow but we had a great time.
