kellyco Posted February 5 #1 Share Posted February 5 I am currently in a "group" booking. Trying to make payments requires me to call the group department and the wait time is 45+ minutes. Left my number for them to call back and have not been called yet. When I do talk to them, does anyone know if I can keep my current reservation but leave the group? The group is not providing any perks so I'm not worried about that. I would like to get full control of my reservation back. Thanks!

I was under the impression that a group was done through a travel agency or other 3rd party entity. Perhaps there are other groups that I don't know anything about. We've booked many "group" cruises through our travel agent due to sometimes lower pricing, more OBC, and refundable fares as some of the available perks. That being the case, we simply call our travel agent for making payments and control of the reservation.
kellyco Posted February 5 Author #3 Share Posted February 5 This booking was originally done through Royal's group department. The person organizing the cruise has since moved the group to a TA. I will figure it out from there. Thank you for your response.
smokeybandit Posted February 5 #4 Share Posted February 5 If the group is with the TA, then you should be interacting with the TA

The TA is running the show. Contact them. That person organizing the group has the option to give perks or get a free fare for themselves
