Has anyone been to Edinburgh on Celebrity? Transport from Port to City

We will be tendering in Edinburgh in June.  Finally, Celebrity put up some shore excursions, but we choose to walk around the city.  How do we get from the port to the city? Will there be a shuttle? I suppose there will be private taxis, but does the city or Celebrity arrange for anything? (One shore excursion offered is for $52 Celebrity will take us to the city to walk around by ourselves. I don't even know if they pick us up to bring us back to the port.

Anyone have info?

By train, it takes 19 minute from Dalmeny, Station at South Queensferry to Edinburgh Waverley.

A little web searching finds:

https://www.whatsinport.com/Queensferry-Edinburgh-Scotland.htm gives some details of the cruise terminal and general info on travel options.

https://www.cruiseforth.com/content/ship/1265-celebrity-silhouette/ which is about Celebrity Silhouette Tendering to South Queensferry on July 2, 2024. The page has several links to other useful details.

Although the train is probably the quickest option in terms of time on public transport, you have quite a long haul up the footpath from Hawes Pier to Dalmeny Station (which is at the same height as the Forth Bridge) and there are quite long gaps between some services.

Far easier is the X99 Cruiselink, which doesn't appear on Google as it only runs when ships are tendering to Hawes Pier.  https://www.lothianbuses.com/cruiselink-x99/  It runs from the end of the pier, as a minimum every 20 minutes (more often for larger ships, as it leaves when full).
