Seabourn Collection By Invitation Only

"Announcing the Collection, Seabourn's New Invite-only Cruising Experience"

 

With a link to a somewhat expensive 10 day trip Lisbon to Barcelona on Venture, then also some shorter Med cruises.  We typically do not take 7, 8 or 10 day Med cruises (too far to fly for a short trip, more children on board, back to backs take away a day of enjoyment).

 

There isn't a lot of information about this, anyone know what the advantages of a Collection cruise are beyond a normal Seabourn cruise?

I also received the email. I currently have a booked Barcelona to Rome for May 2025 on SB Ovation. Overall, I much prefer that itinerary over the Venture offering. Also, the new pricing is significantly higher on Venture, although the smaller ship is a positive. It is good, however, that SB is trying some new things.

It looks like these "Collection" sailings include an overnight land package visiting something special along the way--tennis tournaments, wineries, etc.

Non-personalized listserv emails offering "invite-only" cruises might be peak Seabourn home office.

Who is responsible for these marketing emails? And more to the question of managing the brand, could he/she/they just stop the nonsense? Maybe take an extended holiday somewhere remote and inaccessible?

Looks like they are including some 'special' shore excursions rather than pre/post cruise extensions (such as those offered by Regent). Could be something similar to say the evening Ephesus trip when visiting Kusadasi (but that is only a guess 😁).
